Going to the Beach and Other Details: There is direct access to a semi-private beach is across the street from the home. There is also access to Fenwick Island state park beach up the road with plenty of parking. The park has lifeguard, showers, rest rooms, snack bar, and umbrella rentals. For a day trip about 20 minutes from the home: Rehoboth Beach - home of tax-free shopping outlets, water-slides, go-cart tracks, an excellent strolling boardwalk and FANTASTIC restaurants!
The home is located halfway between Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach. Fenwick Island spans about 14 blocks and has a huge assortment of cute tax-free stores. There are plenty of mini-golf courses and movie complexes as well. The town hall has a good playground for children, a basketball half court, and a shuffleboard court and a picnic area.
Bethany Beach is a quiet, family beach resort on the Atlantic Ocean in southern Delaware. it is an oasis for those seeking a small town, low stress beach vacation away from the commercialization of larger nearby resorts like the Jersey shore, Ocean City MD and Rehoboth Beach DE, while still providing excellent dining and entertainment options within a short distance. There is a boardwalk area with ample small shops for investigating and restaurants to keep you going.
